We stayed eight nights at Cherry Hill Park so we could enjoy our nation’s capital and not have to maneuver around Washington, D.C. with our F350 Super Duty!
We have a standard back-in site that cost us $70.00 per night — a bit higher than we were used to paying on a daily basis — but they do have a ton of amenities.
Pools (2), mini golf course, playground equipment, deli, camp store, indoor hot tub and sauna, splash park, fishing (catch and release), exercise room, outdoor movie area, TV lounge room, game room, 2 laundromats, 5 bath houses, propane delivery, golf cart rentals and more!
The grounds are immaculate. Not one weed anywhere! The staff is very helpful and makes you feel welcome.
You can ride a bus that picks you up several times during the day to get you to the subway or drive your truck/car to the subway for indoor parking to get to Washington. So darn easy and only a few miles away. The staff is well versed as to what to do so make sure you ask them at the front desk for assistance.
The subway is very easy to use and the cost is nominal to get you right to the National Mall area in D.C. From there, we walked about 8 miles a day going to all the museums. Most of the museums are free!
Caution: the road to take you to the RV Park is a bit narrow so be cautious of that.
We would not hesitate to stay at Cherry Hill Park if we venture out that way again.
