We stayed at the Cooperstown Shadow Brook Campground in August of 2017. This gem is located on Highway 31 about 12 miles from downtown Cooperstown – home of the Baseball Hall of Fame.
This resort hosts large pull-thru spots, back-ins large enough for our 44′ RV, tent sites and cabins. They have an arcade, pool, play areas, laundry facilities, fishing pond (catch and release), campfire rings, camp store, spotless restrooms/showers and more. Garbage is picked up daily right on your site. Our satellite worked great even with all the beautiful trees. The grounds are well maintained and manicured. They work at this every day and it shows.
The owners – Frank and Cathy – are incredible people! They were extremely responsive, friendly and accommodating. They live onsite so there are no issues that will not be dealt with immediately.
We received a Good Sam discount for our stay which took us to $53.00 per day for our spacious site.
When we planned this trip, we completely forgot about Labor Day — we asked them for an extension of our site and they graciously allowed it without any issues. This is something that does not always happen.
We pulled the Harleys out of the garage of our RV and had some amazing rides through some back roads. Went geocaching at a local park and had the best time in Cooperstown!
We have nothing negative to say about the location at all. No issues that were not taken care of immediately. There was even a live band on Labor Day for everyone’s enjoyment.
Ingress/egress to this resort is tricky, but doable. Use caution and take your time!
Thank you to Shadow Brook for an incredible time! We highly recommend this location.
