Where have we been?  We have been chasing the sunshine through the winter months.  We stayed at a few KOA RV Parks (New Mexico – which was a mud mess) on the way to Nevada from Illinois, one rest area and one fuel station.   With a big rig, spots anywhere are the biggest hurdle to overcome.  “Winging it” just isn’t a good option!

We will post the good and the bad of each park we stay in.  We will give you our honest assessment of the park, the services, the customer service, the ease of parking, the cost, the area and more.

First extended stop was in Laughlin, Nevada.  We stayed at Don Laughlin’s Riverside RV Resort.

This is a huge RV resort right off Casino Drive – the main hub for all the Laughlin casinos.  Spots range in size from back-ins to pull-thru.  Prices range from $20-35 per night depending on the season.  30/50 AMP services available.  Laundry on site.  This park fills up quickly in the winter months from November to February.  Reserve early.

The staff is very accommodating and helpful.  The spots are mostly level.  The views are great.  Very few services in Laughlin but once you cross over the Colorado River Bridge, you are in Bullhead City, AZ and there are plenty of services there.  Nearby parks to enjoy the river.  You can also rent jet skis – in season, of course!  Laughlin, Nevada and Bullhead City, Arizona are two of the hottest locations in the USA during the summer, so keep that in mind!

Gets really windy so use caution when putting out your awnings!  You can walk to any of the casinos or restaurants or take the water taxi on the Colorado River (which is really cool!).    This was a very enjoyable RV park and we would likely return!
